David LePoidevin, CIM
Director, Wealth Management & Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager
With 35 years of experience in the industry, David LePoidevin is a top-ranked investment advisor, managing a portfolio of more than $1.7 billion in assets.
David began his financial career in 1986 at a bond trading desk in Toronto. In 1988, he became an Investment Advisor at an independent Canadian owned firm, and also spent 20 years at major Canadian banks. Over the years he was awarded Portfolio Manager of the Year and Investment Advisor of the Year on multiple occasions. In 2006, expanded his team as LePoidevin Group turned its focus to discretionary portfolio management. The success of his clients is founded on the strength and discipline of LePoidevin Group, a team of dedicated, like-minded Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts, Traders, a Financial Planner and hard-working client focused Administrative Associates. In 2016, David and LePoidevin Group joined Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management where David sits as a Member of the Canaccord Genuity Chairman’s Council.
David holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and attained his CIM designation (Discretionary Portfolio Manager) in 2006.
Marc Rinfret, CIM, DMS
A graduate of the University of Alberta, Marc joined the LePoidevin Group in 2008 and soon became David's first portfolio management partner, managing client assets using LePoidevin Group's investment philosophy and strategies. In 2018, he became a Vice President at Canaccord Genuity and has consistently been recognized for his success as a portfolio manager, being named to Canaccord Genuity's President's Club every year since 2016. Marc has attained the CIM (Canadian Investment Manager) and DMS (Derivatives Market Specialist) designations, is licensed to trade options, and is a registered US General Securities Representative, licensed in 8 US states and territories through FINRA.
Fletcher Hemmons, CIM
Fletcher joined LePoidevin Group’s Vancouver office in 2010. Since then, he has held a number of roles within the team before becoming a portfolio management partner in 2015. As a Portfolio Manager, Fletcher works with David LePoidevin and Marc Rinfret to manage client portfolios using the LePoidevin Group’s investment philosophy and strategy. Having moved to Toronto, Fletcher works out of LePoidevin Group’s Toronto office while continuing to maintain an office in Vancouver. Fletcher works with LePoidevin Group clients across Canada and Internationally.
Fletcher earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics from St Francis Xavier University. He holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation and is Options licensed. Fletcher has also completed his Series 7 licensing and holds a US Securities License through FINRA.
Lynn is a licensed Investment Assistant. Drawing on over 21 years of experience working exclusively for LePoidevin Group, Lynn provides stability and institutional memory for the vast client group, many of whom have been with David for 30 years.
Senior Associate Trader
Susanna has been in the investment business for over 28 years. Her career began at Haywood Securities as a Sales Assistant, before moving to BMO Nesbitt Burns for eight years and then HSBC Securities for three years. Susanna joined LePoidevin Group in 2005 and executes daily trading and manages client relations.
Aren has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of British Columbia. He joined LePoidevin Group in January, 2011. Aren’s focus is providing LePoidevin Group with independent macroeconomic and security specific research. He has been involved in the financial field for over 25 years.
Associate, Digital Marketing
Devina, joined LePoidevin group in January 2021 and works as Digital Marketing Associate. She graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2019, with a major in Sociology and is currently working her way through becoming a certified Digital Marketing Specialist.
Myra joined LePoidevin group in January 2014. She has an undergraduate degree at Simon Fraser University. Myra holds the CIM designation from the Canadian Securities Institute. Myra is responsible for client account documentation and responding to day-to-day administrative client requests.
Prior to joining LePoidevin Group in 2013, Nicolette worked in retail banking at the Bank of Montreal for seven years. While working as a Financial Services Manager, Nicolette developed strong relationships with clients while gaining an understanding of the various financial solutions that are available through the bank. Nicolette’s role with LePoidevin Group involves responding to day-to-day administrative requests from clients and general client services.
Jade joined LePoidevin Group in 2007 and is pleased to act as a key touch point for our clients, in regards to administrative requests and documentation. Prior to entering the investment industry, Jade received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia. Having accrued 14 years of familiarity with our process and clientele, Jade has continued to build upon her extensive industry expertise to better serve new and existing clients.
Upon completion of her Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance, Agnes joined LePoidevin Group in January 2017. Agnes provides support to the Administrative team by handling the documentation of client accounts.
Investment Advisor Assistant
Morgan joined LePoidevin group in June 2020 and works as a Licensed Investment Advisor Assistant. She graduated in 2018 from the University of Alberta with a major in Finance and is currently working her way through the CFA program.
Business Development Associate
A graduate of the University of Victoria, Frank holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. Having spent time in a wide range of roles at multiple financial services firms, Frank brings 8 years of industry experience to LePoidevin Group. Frank’s day to day focus is on the development of new business, and he is a Registered Representative through IIROC.
Associate, Portfolio Analysis
Alex joined LePoidevin group in June 2021 and works as an Associate, Portfolio Analysis. She brings four years of experience working in portfolio operations in the Canaccord Genuity back office. She graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2017 with a degree in Finance, and she is currently pursuing her CFA designation.
